Hello, I am Nick Kerner. I established my business in 1984 after moving from Sussex with my parents to the beautiful riverside location at Whitney on Wye.
After studying Engineering, my love of creating and repairing Metal work that will be here long after I am gone, is my legacy.
I have a small team including Luke, my wife Helen, and three boys who enjoy trying their hand at the forge.
My passion is in the variety of work, large & small – from creating traditional style Gates, Railings and Staircases to making components for machines, adapting and repairing them.
We specialize in creating high-quality metalwork whilst blending traditional blacksmithing techniques with modern fabrication methods.
Our shop has been forging metal the way it was meant to be done—by hand, with skill, patience, and respect for the craft. Rooted in traditional blacksmithing and strengthened by modern fabrication techniques, we create custom metalwork that stands the test of time.
Our work can be found across Wales and England, each piece that leaves our shop reflects decades of experience, a commitment to quality, and a passion for turning raw steel into something both strong and beautiful.
